2nd update of my WIP sketch of Kallen Stadtfeld from Code Geass.
(Fullview if you like, but be careful hitting Download, because the file is MASSIVE. I'm not kidding. I can't remember how to set the dpi in XSane and it's so bloody hot in here I'm feeling too lazy to resize.)
Well here I'm starting to work on finishing the Guren Nishiki claw arm, although I'm not entirely certain if I got the claw shape/size right. I'll have to check my references before moving on to the rest. But you can see I've more or less hashed out the costume now, and, hooray for her left foot looking right. I always have trouble with that part in a drawing. Anyway, I've also changed her left arm position as you can see. It doesn't look too fubar, fortunately, except for her upper arm seeming a bit too long, but that can easily be fixed in photoshop, or by moving the paper while tracing. Not sure which route I'll go at this point. I want to try traditional inking, but I feel this needs to be done digital. I was going to have her holding a gun, in case you can't tell by looking at the previous sketch, but with the Nishiki arm, I inadvertently made her left-handed, so I decided to scratch that, also, another reason I'll explain right now... You can see I've started to work on the background. I'm thinking I'll have Kallen standing on a giant chess board, with her hand up against either the black queen or the king. I was originally planning to include the black queen in there somehow, as I wanted to make use of that motif of the black queen symbolizing Kallen, but now that I see her standing on a chess board, I feel it's more appropriate to show her standing by the black king, as she herself is in the place of the black queen (the black king, of course, representing Zero).
Oh, and I forgot to add the credits.
Kallen Stadtfeld is a character designed by CLAMP for use in the TV anime production Code Geass by Sunrise, owned by Bandai Japan, and licensed in Region 1 by Bandai USA. Guren Nishiki and Lelouch's chess queen design are copyrights of Sunrise. Kuro no Kishi Dan (the Japanese text in the upper left corner in atrocious handwriting) could be a trademark of Sunrise or Bandai. I'm not entirely certain.
Anyway, all artwork was done by me, and therefore, copyrighted by me.

Considering it has been 5 years since this was made, this comment may seem out of left field, but Kallen actually is left handed. I just thought I'd point that out.
